While no-one will ever beat Ringo Starr’s reputation being a rock and roll drummer from Liverpool, Pete Clarke has hardly done terribly for himself within a career which has involved a lot of the best skill from this city after the Fab Four are pushed taken care of. Many groups attempted to do that once phrase got around that there is an industry for this type of matter. In 1963, Clarke was drumming for the Escorts, regarded among Liverpool’s most solid rings. Pr handouts from enough time brag how the Escorts had been “voted the ninth most well-known group in Liverpool by visitors from the Merseybeat journal,” a statistic reported with such excitement as to recommend extremely solid competition in the combo division. The Lomax monitor “HEADING BACK to Liverpool” can be an interesting little bit of music about music artists, featuring the first choice and Clarke along with Liverpool dude George Harrison. Inexplicably, this enchanting monitor didn’t make the lower when the Lomax recording entitled Can be This WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE? was originally released, but was restored towards the 1991 CD edition.
