Pedro Villagra

Skilled Pedro Villagra began getting involved with music while learning anthropology at Santiago de Chile. In 1977, the musician created his first alternate project, known as Santiago del Nuevo Extremo, adding varying elements to traditional regional folklore. Villagra’s second task was called Huara and was known for merging Latin folk and international noises and rhythms. Another project was known as Kunza, an experimental jazz fusion music group. Through the ’80s, Pedro Villagra produced a significant contribution to debuting Chilean works, such as for example Pablo Herrera in 1983 along with a Latin rock-band known as Upa! in 1986. Within the middle-’90s, Villagra became a member of Latin folk group Inti Illimani, shortly forming a fresh band known as Pedroband, documenting Pagano in 1998 and taking part in a compilation known as Oasis Jazz Sampler.
