Pauline York

Chicago-based guitarist, singer, and songwriter Pauline York burst upon that city’s healthful club scene in the past due 1990s. York became enamored with Tx blues as an adolescent and she explored the root base of this music, which led her to recordings by Jimmy Reed and Freddie Ruler. Her audio today is inspired by identical parts Tx blues, Cajun flavorings, and Memphis spirit blues. York provides released three albums, Blackberry Wines in 2002, Muddy Drinking water in 2004 & most lately, Obtain Down and Trip. On Muddy Drinking water, York and her bandmates render exclusive covers of Kid Seals’ “Your Like IS SIMILAR TO a Cancers,” Otis Rush’s “Maintain Adoring Me Baby,” and Otis Redding’s “Protection.” York and her music group cover Muddy Waters and Mike Bloomfield and Nick Gravenites on the third discharge, including within the mix several spry original music. York and her trio, referred to as the Pauline York Music group, have shared levels with famous brands Paul “Wines” Jones, Tabs Benoit, and Chicago’s very own Lonnie Brooks.
