A Berlin based pop group, Germany’s Paula shaped in 1997 when founders Berend Intelmann and Elke Brauweiler met in a Family pet Shop Boys display in London. The set released their 1st recording, Himmelfahrt (in British, “Ascension”), in 2000 and released a set of singles. In 2001, the follow-up, Liebe (or “Like,” in British), premiered, which was quickly accompanied by Warum Berlin (or, “Why Berlin”). In 2005, Intelmann and guitarist Benjamin Schlez got their keep, and Brauweiler shifted into a more vigorous part with instrumentation. A more substantial music group roster was explored for concert events, but no resolved line-up was set up until around 2008, when Daniel Baumann got over on instrumentation and Barotti Marco got on drums. The initial lineup was set up for 2005’s Ruhig Blut (“Calm Bloodstream”), while 2008’s Therefore Wie Jetzt (“Just like Now”) featured the brand new membership.
