Well known because the business lead singer and co-songwriter of Child Abelha, among Brazil’s most widely used pop/rock and roll bands, Paula Toller sometimes stepped from her bandmates to record solo albums. Given birth to Paula Toller Amora on August 23, 1962, in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, she grew up by her father’s parents, Paulo and Renée, from age group eight onward. These grandparents had been more developed (her grandfather was a retired doctor, for instance, and a historian and writer) and resided in Tijuca, a populous (approximately 150,000), mainly middle-class community in north Rio that experienced spawned several popular Brazilian musicians, included in this Antonio Carlos Jobim, Milton Nascimento, Jorge Ben, and Gabriel o Pensador. Toller was a devoted pupil, going to ballet and British classes, furthermore to her regular studies at college.
