Paul Wood

b. c.1952, Oakland, California, USA. The kid of defeat poet Paul Tulley, Hardwood took up your guitar at age 11, soon embracing the blues. At 20 he was with John Lee Hooker as an associate from the leading bluesman’s Coastline To Coastline Blues Music group, touring with him for just two years. Within this music group, Hardwood’s fellow sidemen included Elvin Bishop, Don ‘Sugarcane’ Harris, Truck Morrison, Charlie Musselwhite and L.C. Robinson. Among recordings with Hooker was 1972’s Hardly ever ESCAPE These Blues Alive. Following the Hooker travels Wood settled back the Bay Region where he created a strong regional pursuing for his music group, the Bridgeburners, frequently playing and performing on the Monterey Blues Celebration and also using rock-orientated rings. He toured European countries in the middle-90s from basics in Amsterdam, holland, and towards the finish of the 10 years, back now in america, he relocated to Memphis, Tennessee. Woods started documenting under his personal name in the past due 90s, and through the next couple of years significantly extended his fanbase. During this time period, he also started writing his personal materials, which echoed his deep fascination with and understanding of traditional blues.
