Paul White

Paul Light is a beatmaker from South London whose sample-heavy strategy pulls from unlikely resources, including progressive and psychedelic rock and roll and post-punk. In colaboration with the One-Handed Music label, he produced his commercial documenting debut in 2007 using the two-track solitary “The Dragon Take flight.” Another two-track solitary, “FOR YOU PERSONALLY and for me personally” (2008), and a five-track EP, One Attention Open (2009), adopted before White produced his full-length recording debut using the Unusual Dreams of Paul White (2009). Afterwards that same calendar year, he released the Punch Drummer EP, the limited-edition one “Versus the BBC,” as well as the 19-monitor Sounds in the Skylight. This year 2010, he released his second correct album, Paul Light & the Crimson Brain, that was built entirely from examples of obscure Swedish psychedelic rocker S.T. Mikael. Released jointly by One-Handed Music and Rocks Throw’s Now-Again sublabel, Paul Light & the Crimson Human brain was preceded with a few singles, “My Electric guitar Whales” and “Old Treasure,” the last mentioned offering rapper Guilty Simpson. The next calendar year, he released Rapping with Paul White, which he was became a member of by Simpson, Danny Dark brown, Homeboy Sandman, among others. Efforts to recordings by Sandman, Dark brown, and Charli XCX reached the general public, and then Light agreed upon to R&S for Shaker Records, a 2014 record made without the usage of a sampler. Rather, White utilized “correct” equipment and included his very own vocals. In 2016, he caused left-field MC Open up Mike Eagle over the collaborative record Hella Personal Film Celebration. A year afterwards, White offered supporters an instrumental single-track defeat tape known as Everything You’ve Ignored via his Bandcamp site.
