Paul Moer

An excellent pianist, Paul Moer hardly ever gained a huge name for himself and it has way back when slipped into obscurity. Moer graduated in the School of Miami in 1951. He used many West Coastline musicians through the 1950’s including Benny Carter, Vido Musso, Zoot Sims, Stan Getz, Costs Holman and Shorty Rogers. Moer proved helpful within the studios (both being a pianist so when an arranger), toured Australia with Benny Carter in 1960, made an appearance on several game titles with Charles Mingus, documented with Jack port Montrose and John Graas, and trim a trio record in the past due 1950’s for Del Fi with bassist Jimmy Connection and drummer Frank Butler. He caused Paul Horn (1960-63), Ruth Cost and Pal DeFranco but little was heard about the pianist until he produced a trio established for Clean Sound within the 1990’s of Elmo Wish tunes.
