Paul Michel

Vocalist/songwriter Paul Michel is really a veteran of Washington, D.C.’s hardcore picture, but his single work reflects an extremely different part of his music character; trading his guitar for an acoustic axe, he performs melodic and influencing pop songs educated by affairs from the center. Michel started playing music like a young man when his parents organized for him to consider lessons in flamenco acoustic guitar, and as an adolescent he created a flavor for jazz before diving in to the Washington, D.C., rock and roll scene. While learning journalism in university, Michel played electric guitar with several punk-leaning D.C. rings, including Blue Range, the Hard Tomorrows, and Out_Circuit, but following a challenging romantic break up, he began concentrating on his very own tracks and his very own style. Michel produced his single debut using the 2004 EP Ayuda!, released with the independent MAGIC PILL label (located in Fredericksburg, VA, not really definately not D.C.). A full-length record implemented in 2005, THEY ARE All Beautiful Issues, another EP, Revolve, made an appearance in the summertime of 2006. Afterwards that season, Michel signed using the Astoria, NY, label Amazing Models on Screen and recorded Calm State of Anxiety, an record released close to the end of 2006 that merged the calm textures of his previously recordings with a far more eclectic pop/rock and roll strategy, boasting some powerful electric guitar along with a subtle but directed politics broadside, “Your Name Can be Icarus.”
