Paul Jackson, Jr.

Los Angeles program guitarist Paul Jackson, Jr. was perhaps one of the most prolific players in R&B through the ’70s and ’80s. Jackson performed for the Temptations, Gerald Alston, Bobby Womack, Luther Vandross, Patrice Rushen, Ramsey Lewis, Nancy Wilson, the Pointer Sisters, Howard Hewett, Dennis Edwards, and Jeffrey Osborne, amongst others, before getting his own single cope with Atlantic in 1986. But he was not nearly as effective being a lead musician; neither his 1988 launch I FOUND Play or his ’90 work From the Shadows has produced any headway.
