Paul Elstak

Paul Elstak was the crown prince of Dutch gabba, the version of hardcore techno that consistently sought the darkest, fastest electronic dance music possible inside a post-apocalyptic nihilistic frenzy. Although “Rotterdam” maker was later on reviled by a lot of his hardcore brethren due to his surprising graph leanings, his 1992 solitary “Where in fact the Fuck Can be Amsterdam?” by Euromasters virtually developed the gabba design. Later on singles like “Rotterdam” and “The Headache Continues” had been also popular for the growing picture, but by 1995, Elstak got pulled back through the dark side. Rather, he followed a far more light-hearted hi-NRG design — ready with help through the Dutch production team the Klubbheads — that led to some TOP Dutch pop strikes including “Existence IS SIMILAR TO a Dance,” “Luv U Even more” (a cover from the Sunscreem strike), “Don’t Keep Me Only,” and “Rave On.” His 1st full-length, May the Forze Become With You, made an appearance in 1996.
