Patrick & Eugene

A pop/rock and roll duo, Patrick & Eugene produced their name in Britain from 2003 onward with some shows and recordings that combined ’60s pop, psychedelia, Dixieland jazz, as well as the affects of Afro-Cuban jazz, ’60s reggae, the music of John Cage, and ’20s pop, everything mashed jointly into a thing that sounds like today’s incarnation from the Bonzo Pet dog Music group. Percussionist Patrick Dawes — a drum-playing, object-banging fool by most accounts, in addition to programmer and periodic vocalist for the duo — is most beneficial known for his use Groove Armada. Eugene Bezodis sings in addition to playing reeds and winds. Their 2004 documenting of “The Wild birds as well as the Bees” was found by Gordon’s Gin in Britain for a tv marketing campaign that place the duo in the map, and afterwards in 2004 they released their debut record, Postcard from Summerisle, in the Tummy Contact label.
