Biography

Pat Patrick, like John Gilmore, spent virtually his whole career with Sunlight Ra’s Arkestra, resulting in him being somewhat underrated. Patrick experienced a particularly interesting audio on baritone and, although he didn’t business lead any record classes of his personal, he was among the better baritonists from the 1950s and ’60s. As a kid he analyzed piano, drums, and trumpet before switching to saxophones. At Du Sable SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Chicago he 1st fulfilled John Gilmore. Patrick do record with John Coltrane (Africa Brass), play briefly with Duke Ellington, was an associate of the little-known edition of Thelonious Monk’s quartet (1970), and in 1974 he documented using the Jazz Composer’s Orchestra. But normally, Pat Patrick from 1954 on / off until his loss of life was closely connected with Sunlight Ra, where he was a trusted sideman.
