Passing Fancy

The pop group A Passing Fancy formed in Toronto, Canada, in the ’60s. Though they just completed one recording, it drawn off two big strikes using the singles “I’m Dropping You Tonight” and “I REALLY BELIEVE in Sunlight.” A Passing Nice had several users, including guitarists Ron Forster, Brian Smith, Jay Telfer, and Phil Seon; lead vocalist and pianist Fergus Hambleton’ drummers Louis Pratile and Steve Wilson; organist Brian Cost; and bassists Rick Mann and Dan Troutman. In 1967 the group released its only full-length recording, a self-titled debut that was documented beneath the Boo Information label. A couple of years later on, the members break up, some trying single careers, others becoming a member of other rings. A Passing Fancy’s recording was re-released on Compact disc in 2000 within the Peacemaker Information label. That was a wonderful surprise for aged fans who idea they would by no means see Passing Nice music on anything apart from black vinyl.
