Parmalee is really a tight-knit Southern country-rock music group comprising brothers Matt Thomas (electric guitar, vocals) and Scott Thomas (drums), cousin Barry Knox (bass), and youth friend Josh McSwain (electric guitar, keyboards), most of whom was raised jointly near Greenville, NEW YORK. The brothers’ dad had an area music group, and by enough time they were teens, they were an integral part of it, gigging as Jerry Thomas & the Thomas Brothers Music group, and Knox was recruited aboard aswell. Once the elder Thomas retired from playing, the brothers and cousin continuing because the Thomas Brothers Music group, working the neighborhood club circuit, where they often times crossed pathways with guitarist, keyboardist, and longtime friend McSwain, who was simply in an effective cover music group at that time. McSwain sat along with the Thomas Brothers Music group one evening in 2001 and the others, as the saying goes, was background. Rechristened Parmalee, the music group meshed bluegrass, traditional nation, Southern rock and roll, and blues right into a sharp, professional country-rock audio, spurred by solid songwriting and the actual fact that all member was a multi-instrumentalist. An EP, Daylight, made an appearance in 2002, accompanied by a full-length, Inside, in 2004. Another EP, Complicated, found its way to 2008. The music group next agreed upon with Stoney Creek Information and released a set of singles, “Musta Acquired a great time” in 2012 and “Carolina” in 2013. Their initial record for Stoney Creek, FEELS AS THOUGH Carolina, premiered by the end of 2013.
