Psych-rock combo Paris Pilot shaped in Memphis beneath the name Insert of Mischief, combining vocalist David Mayo, guitarist Jimmy Tarbutton, bassist Ray Sanders, keyboardist Ken Woodley and drummer Larry Wall structure. Signing towards the Stax label’s HIP subsidiary, the group started focus on its debut LP when ex-Mar-Kay Don Nix commandeered the task, putting your signature on on as songwriter, maker and engineer and insisting Fill of Mischief modification its name to Paris Pilot; relatively amazingly, Nix may be the just musician even acknowledged on the ensuing recording, an eponymously-titled work released in 1969.
