Biography

The Uk doom metal band Heaven Lost formed in Halifax, Britain in 1988; originally composed of vocalist Nick Holmes, business lead guitarist Gregor Mackintosh, tempo guitarist Aaron Aedy, bassist Steve Edmonson, and drummer Matthew Archer, the group documented a set of demonstration tapes, Drown in Darkness and Iced Illusion, before putting your signature on with Peaceville Information to concern their debut record Lost Heaven in early 1990. The follow-up, 1991’s Gothic, was the band’s breakthrough, its dark creation and orchestral components setting them in addition to the competition; a significant Western european tour also extended Heaven Lost’s fanbase significantly. Signing using the Music for Countries label, they came back in 1992 with Tones of God, regarded by many to become their high-water tag; an EP, WHEN I Die, made an appearance later on that same 12 months, filled with cover artwork by the matchless Dave McKean. After 1993’s Icon, Archer remaining Paradise Shed, and was changed by drummer Lee Morris; Draconian Occasions adopted in 1995, with One Second released 2 yrs later.
