This phenomenal US pop/harmony act was ostensibly a studio group based around songwriter/producer Jerry Riopelle. Having set up his popularity with Ramona Ruler’s original edition of ‘The Shoop Shoop Tune (It’s In His Kiss)’, Riopelle liked a short association with Phil Spector, before seeking his backroom profession with Nino Tempo And Apr Stevens and Clydie Ruler. The Parade, composed of Riopelle, Murray MacLeod and Smokey Roberds, produced its A&M Information debut using the well-crafted ‘Sunlight Girl’, a lovely, summery group structure which reached amount 20 in america chart in Apr 1967. Despite getting redolent from the Turtles or the Association, non-e from the Parade’s following five singles had been hits as well as the group dissolved in 1968.
