Going for a cue from rings just like the Killers and Passion Pit, Papa, the Los Angeles-based duo comprising drummer/vocalist Darren Weiss (ex-Girls) and bassist/songwriter Daniel Presant, shoot for the nosebleed chairs with stadium-ready indie rock and roll anthems that set propulsive electro-pop with open-road, Springsteen-induced Americana. The music group debuted in 2011 using the EP AN EXCELLENT Woman Is Difficult to find, which resulted in tour schedules with rings like Ra Ra Riot and Grouplove, and finally a record cope with Isle/Republic, which would continue to concern the band’s debut long-player, 2013’s Sensitive Madness.
