Playing catchy, slightly naïve pop that suggests a stripped-down American variation over the C-86 noises of decades past, Slacks Yell! is normally a trio from Cambridge, MA, who began producing music jointly in 2003. Andrew Churchman and Sterling Bryant had been both studying artwork in Boston if they started writing and documenting music in dorm areas and basements. With Churchman on electric guitar and vocals, Bryant on bass, keyboards, and support vocals, and Carly Smith on drums and support vocals, Slacks Yell! produced their documented debut in the summertime with an Asuras Information compilation known as Watermelon Should Last Forever using the memorably entitled monitor “Electroclash May be the Noose Around My Throat.” A cassette-only recording, Our Horse Phone calls, followed soon afterward through the Italian label Greatest Kept Magic formula, who heard bout the music group when Churchman delivered them a CD-R demonstration plus a email order. After liberating many homemade recordings, Jeans Yell!’s debut recording, 2004’s Tunes for Siblings, was documented inside a 16-monitor analog studio room and earned an abundance of enthusiastic notices from your indie music press in the us and abroad. In 2005, Trousers Yell! released a 7″ vinyl fabric EP, ’83 in ’05, and in 2006, using the group’s users finally finished with university, they required on a far more intense touring routine, playing in america, European countries, Sweden, and Iceland to get their third recording, Recent Episode. In 2007, Casey Keenan, previously with Major Celebrities, authorized on as Trousers Yell!’s new drummer, as well as the group documented their fourth recording, Alison Statton, released by Soft Misuse Information by the end of the entire year.
