Paley Brothers

Ahead of his career being a high-visibility manufacturer of unbalanced old rock music artists (Brian Wilson, Jerry Lee Lewis) and pop rings (NRBQ, Greenberry Woods), Andy Paley teamed along with his sibling Jonathan in 1978 to create the energy pop duo the Paley Brothers. They released a self-titled recording that same 12 months which didn’t perform very much commercially but is usually fondly kept in mind by power pop followers. Their track “TURN OUT and Play” was presented on Rhino’s D.We.Y.: TURN OUT and Play: American Power Pop (1975-78) compilation. The Paley Brothers also documented a monitor (“C’Mon Let’s Proceed”) using the Ramones for the soundtrack to Rock and roll ‘N’ Roll SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. Unfortunately they produced no more information because the Paley Brothers, however they have worked collectively several times. In 1980 they performed together on the Nervous Eaters record and in 1995 Jonathan performed bass around the Jerry Lee Lewis record that Andy created.
