Pale Blue

The collaboration between New Jersey-based Italians GET IT DONE Better co-founder Mike Simonetti and vocalist Elizabeth Wight from the L.A. duo Metallic Hands, Pale Blue’s music shifts from melodic techno to ambient productions while maintaining a dreamy, quietly cathartic feeling. As he was composing the tunes that made an appearance on his Capricorn Increasing EP, Simonetti remixed a few of Metallic Hands’ tracks; influenced by Wight’s wide-ranging tone of voice, the pair’s e-mails resulted in making music collectively. Acquiring their moniker from Carl Sagan’s name for the 1990 picture of Earth used by the Voyager 1 space probe, Pale Blue completed documenting their debut recording past due in 2014, when it had been announced that Simonetti was departing Italians GET IT DONE Better. The recording, DAYS GONE BY We Keep Behind, premiered in Apr 2015 on 2MR (“Two Mikes Information”), a dance imprint co-owned by Simonetti and Captured Songs’ Mike Sniper.
