Paik

Paik shaped in 1996 when guitarist Rob Smith, bassist Ali Clegg, and drummer Ryan Pritts started to collaborate in Michigan’s burgeoning space rock and roll music picture. The trio released their debut, Hugo Unusual, in 1998 on Beyonder Information. In 1999, the Spacer EP premiered, once again on Beyonder. In 2001, Paik released Corridors, their most ambitious record up to now. The band added paths to two compilations, including Sound Factory Information’ Beautiful Sound…the Apocalypse in 1999 and Datacarbon Information’ Across Woodward, Vol. 1 in 2001. By this aspect, their concert events were nearly famous, including smoke cigarettes, mirrors, light displays, and films to increase the music’s complicated and surreal characteristics. By 2002, the music group had received essential acclaim worldwide for his or her spaced-out make of instrumental rock and roll, and in 2002 released The Orson Fader on Clairecords. 2 yrs later, following a move to Unusual Attractors, Paik released their fourth recording, Satin Black, that was accompanied by 2006’s Monster from the Total.
