Padded Cell

Padded Cell can be an electro duo from London that’s associated with DC Recordings and whose design bears traces of post-punk revival ? la the DFA. Founded in 2002 and inspired primarily with the early-’80s NY post-disco/post-punk picture (e.g., Arthur Russell, ESG, Water Water), the duo can be made up of veteran makers Richard Sen (previously from the Bronx Canines) and Neil Higgins (from the Dirty Beatniks). The duo originally teamed up as Padded Cell to get a remix of Big Two Hundred’s “ALLOW IT Bleed” (2003) on DC Recordings, the London-based label of J. Saul Kane (aka Depth Charge). A few years later Cushioned Cell produced their creation debut on DC Recordings with Sign Failure, their to begin many 12″ EPs for the label; following others consist of Are You Anywhere? (2006), Moon Menace (2007), Savage Skulls (2008), and Person to person (2008). In 2008 the duo produced its full-length recording debut with Night time Must Fall on DC Recordings.
