Biography
A banging techno maker and DJ located in Berlin, Pacou translated his affects from raw, early-dance pioneers like Underground Level of resistance and Todd Terry into productions of no-nonsense techno on the par with minimalists like Jeff Mills and Doctor. Given birth to Lars Lewandowski in Berlin in 1972, Pacou paid attention to synth pop before engaging in the first influx of acid home and techno, thanks to the German capital’s fertile dance community. He started creating in 1993, and converted his periodic DJ spots on the renowned Tresor club right into a residency by 1995. A reliable blast of dubplates — frequently lowered in his very own models — announced the appearance of Pacou’s initial discharge, the 1996 EP Reel Techno on Tresor, accompanied by his record debut, Symbolic Vocabulary. For his second, No Pc Involved, Pacou extended with a couple of radically different productions, each employing a different studio room setup. After establishing his very own label, LL Information, for produces by a range of manufacturers (like the pseudonym Agent Cooper), Pacou came back in 2000 with Mind-set.
