Canadian world fusion ensemble Pacifika focus on shiny, melodic, Latin-tinged pop, all fronted by Peruvian-born, previous Western End Girls singer Silvana Kane’s heartfelt and frequently multi-tracked vocals sung in Spanish, British, or French, with regards to the song. The group was created in 2004 in Vancouver, English Columbia by Kane and high-school friend and guitarist Adam Popowitz, with bassist and drummer Toby Peter becoming a member of two years later on in 2006. All three had been veterans from the Canadian music business, Kane with Western End Ladies, Popowitz with Mollies Revenge and Yve Adam, in addition to being a maker, and Peter, a dub-influenced bassist given birth to in Canada but elevated in Barbados, using the fusion music group Salvador Desire. Kane and Popowitz experienced already documented and individually released a debut recording, Presented, in 2004, when Peter noticed among the duo’s concert events and contacted them about growing to some trio. The three after that recorded another recording, Asunción, which presented the band’s exclusive make of global pop and guaranteed them a cope with Six Degrees Information, which released it in 2008. Two even more albums, 2010’s Supermagique and 2014’s Amor Planeta, adopted from Six Levels.
