P. Carrera Y Lanchares

Spanish composer, theorist, organist and liturgist whose legacy consists primarily of music and theory in the context from the church service. Carrera had written “Rudimentos de musica” for newbie music learners in the seminary but his “Salmodia organica” (and its own second model “Adiciones a la salmodia organica”) will be the greatest representations of his music. Carrera’s musical nuances included small usage of the thematic run after and an absolute affinity for the piano music from the era.
