Oxford Collapse

Finding the web page link between your dark and angular aspect from the synth pop scene as well as the equally off-kilter indie rock and roll from the ’90s, Oxford Collapse arrived of Brooklyn, NY, using a fiery and unique appear. Performing around their unique burg, Michael Speed (electric guitar/vocals), Dan Fetherston (drums), and Yong Sing da Silva (bass) released their self-titled debut EP in 2002. In 2003, da Silva still left the band to keep his education, and bassist Mike Henry stepped in. Their initial full-length, the eccentric indie rock and roll/post-rock surprise of Some Wilderness, made an appearance on Kanine in springtime 2004. Henry’s tenure would confirm short-lived; bassist Adam Rizer was put into the lineup simply with time for the producing from the band’s sophomore work, Good Surface. The 2005 discharge would also tag their final record for the brand new York indie label Kanine. After a string of tour schedules with We Are Researchers, Oxford Collapse announced their brand-new record cope with Sub Play March 2006. Extra stateside shows using the Joggers, Component Chimp, as well as the Constantines eventually led up to the documenting of Oxford Collapse’s third recording that spring. Made by John Agnello (Sonic Youngsters, Dinosaur Jr., the Keep Steady), Remember the night time Parties found its way to Oct 2006. After many trips with fellow Brooklynites We Are Researchers, the band came back with Pieces in August of 2008.
