Owen

The indie rock outfit Owen began playing music close to the end of 1994 when singer/songwriter Thomas Ryerson and guitarist Jeremy Chambers left their previous music group, Saint Judy. Natives of Woodstock, Ontario, the people of Owen got gathered a good stack of materials and began documenting a year afterwards. The 7″ one “Slacker Anthem” was critically acclaimed in Billboard and a preferred at local university radio. In fall 1995, guitarist John Speechley was induced panel, Mysto X was put into play drums, and Owen going back to the studio room. The sessions became an innovative improvement for Owen, and Doug and Munchie Hainer and drummer STEVE were induced completely while Speechley was presented with the boot. Through the entire middle-’90s, Owen participated in a variety of projects, including adding a track towards the Hard Rock and roll Indie Comp ’96 and documenting the Owen commemorative singles launch Hit Manufacturing plant 1993-1996 (1997). In 1998, the music group released their 5th slice entitled “Smalltown,” and Hainer and Ryerson started working on the medial side task Cholera. A full-length recording from Owen was still however to become released. The next 12 months, Ryerson and his fiancee Vicki Brownish created the indie-pop outift, The Manical Pet cats.
