Ousmane Kouyate

Kouyate was created into a music family and found acoustic guitar and balafon while a kid, forming a youngsters music group in 1966. He analyzed agriculture for a couple years, but remaining school to go after music. He relocated to Bamako and fulfilled Kante Manfila, who was simply then head of Les Ambassadeurs, and Kouyate became a member of them in 1977. He became close friends with fellow Ambassadeur Salif Keita, and after Keita still left the music group, Kouyate played electric guitar on two Keita albums. Kouyate also started a solo profession, releasing many albums. He agreed upon a cope with a London firm in 1990, launching an record which combined traditional noises with mellow jazz.
