Our Broken Garden

The project of Efterklang’s touring keyboardist Anna Broensted, Our Broken Backyard also feature guitarist/keyboardist Søren Bigum and bassist Moogie Johnson. As the group’s music stocks a few of Efterklang’s dreamy atmosphere, Our Broken Backyard concentrate on their general audio and Broensted’s alluringly aloof vocals. Broensted started publishing her music on her behalf MySpace web page and it captured the ears from the Cocteau Twins’ Robin Guthrie, who authorized Our Broken Backyard to his Bella Union label. The Shed Sailor EP found its way to April 2008, presenting the music group’s desire for maritime imagery aswell as its ephemeral audio. Their 1st full-length, WHENEVER YOUR Blackening Displays — that was recorded within an left behind school — adopted that Sept. Its follow-up, 2010’s Golden Ocean, featured Broensted like a co-producer and a wider-ranging audio inspired by traditional music and Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist.
