Otto Von Schirach

IDM maker/DJ/visual designer Otto Von Schirach grew up in Miami, FL, which as a kid exposed him to some wild crossbreed of music that is constantly on the influence his audio today including Miami bass, gangsta rap, loss of life metallic/grindcore, and Afro-Cuban music. He bought his 1st digital equipment in the sensitive age group of 17 and instantly started to develop his personal unique distorted wall structure of digital sound. A demonstration found its method in to the hands of electro-IDM label Schematic (also located in Miami), which quickly provided him a multi-record offer. His debut, 8000 B.C., premiered in 2001 with Escalo Frio carrying out a few brief months later on. With constant touring and documenting, Von Schirach began to create a darker visual, which was shown appropriately within the horror-inspired Chopped Zombie Fungi and Global Loudspeaker Fisting, released in 2003 and 2004, respectively. Schematic released a remix record in 2005, having a wide variety of artists going for a stab at reinterpreting his function including Jamie Lidell, Venetian Snares, the Gentle Green Truth, and labelmate Richard Devine. A gathering with Ipecac labelhead/avant-garde/steel star Mike Patton led to the 18-monitor breakcore Maxipad DeTention released on Ipecac in July of 2006. In addition to doing computer animation and sound style function, he information under such aliases as Blotto Von Split Rock and roll, Otto Von Schitpiss, and Otto Von Xerox.
