Oswaldo Nunes

The premature demise of Oswaldo Nunes prevented him from gaining wider recognition. His initial record, Oba (1962), included “Oba,” one of is own biggest strikes, which became the anthem from the Carnival bloco Bafo de Onça. His various other albums had been Tá Tudo Aí (1969), Você Me Chamou (1971), and Ai, Que Vontade (1978). Various other strikes are: “Segura Esse Samba Ogunhê,” “Voltei,” and “Levanta a Cabeça.”
