Orlando “Cachaito” Lopez

Child of talented bass participant Orestes López, aka Macho, and nephew of Cuban celebrity Israel López, mostly referred to as Cachao, Cachaito López (given birth to Orlando López Vergara) started taking violin and bass classes in a young age group. López participated within the Riverside Orchestra and later on joined Arcano con Sus Maravillas. In 1960, Cachaito López considered traditional music while using the Cuban Symphonic Orchestra without departing his enthusiasm for Latin jazz. Within the 1990s he teamed up with Juan de Marcos González to try out bass for Afro-Cuban All Celebrities as well as the Buena Vista Sociable Golf club. After issuing 1997’s Cachaito López, Nick Platinum produced his pursuing recording, released in 2001.
