Organic Sound was a forum for the funk and vegetable-induced madness of Andy Spence, one-half from the famous acid solution jazz duo Freakniks. Leading to the 1999 record, Back again to My Root base, Spence’s side task allowed him to explore his internal Brazilian without ignoring the firmly woven jazz components that he previously added to the Freakniks. With a far more percussive dance audio and fine music like “The Audio of Okra,” Organic Sound dove faraway from the lofty perch which the Freakniks inhabited and swam within a crazy ocean of world affects. Last One House was released in fall 2000.
