Orchestra Super Matamila

Orchestra Super Mazembe remains to be among Kenya’s best dance bands. Furthermore to scoring a global hit using their interpretation of the traditional tune, “Shauri Yako,” in 1984, the music group recorded such local strikes as “Shida,” “Mwana Mazembe,” “Kasongo,” and “Amina.” Shaped in 1967, as Super Vox, Orchestra Super Mazembe reached its top with the appearance of vocalist and songwriter, Nasil Pichen Kazembe in 1970. For another 2 decades, Kazembe and Orchestra Super Mazembe place the foundation from the East African rumba design. Although Kazembe passed away in 1991, the group continued to be jointly and performed weekends on the Motherland Inn Cafe.
