Orange Kellin

b. ?-rjan Kjellin, 21 July 1944, Ljungby, Sweden. Kellin started playing clarinet at age 15 and 2 yrs later produced his first music group together with pianist Lars Edegran. The music group performed music in the brand new Orleans way. Kellin produced his first information in his indigenous Sweden at age 17. In 1966, he transferred to New Orleans where he became a normal performer at many leading jazz locations including Preservation Hall. In 1968 he was a creator member of the brand new Orleans Ragtime Orchestra. He also led his very own rings in the town including, in 1970, a music group which kept a residency on the Maison Bourbon Membership. Two years afterwards he formed the brand new Orleans Joymakers. Kellin documented with many veteran New Orleans music artists including Josiah ‘Cié’ Frazier, Preston Jackson, Jim Robinson, Jabbo Smith, Zutty Singleton and Child Thomas Valentine. In 1978, Kellin used the NORO for the soundtrack from the film Pretty Baby. The next year he made an appearance in NY using the stage musical One Mo’ Period that he was musical movie director and co-arranger furthermore to playing within the onstage music group.
