‘O’Rang

Bassist Paul Webb and drummer Lee Harris were bandmates for ten years in the influential Uk band Talk Chat. A year following the band’s last discharge — 1992’s critically acclaimed Laughing Share — Harris and Webb constructed a studio room that they dubbed The Slug. After the studio room was ready to go, the duo allowed a variety of music artists to can be found in and improvise with them, using the causing music as supply materials with which to make the music noticed on ‘O’Rang’s albums. The band’s documented debut was the EP Spoor (1994) accompanied by two complete measures, Herd of Instinct (1995) and Areas & Waves (1996). The recordings had been originally released on Echo Information and later found and reissued (aside from the EP) in 1997 by Chicago’s Strike It! Recordings, implemented a year afterwards by the brand new Remixes. ‘O’Rang features Webb and Harris on a number of equipment, incorporating dub rhythms, several percussion, and thickly split atmospherics to make a rock and roll music that is extremely praised by U.K. magazines like the Wire, THE DAYS of London, and Melody Machine.
