Oran “Junior” Guidry

Oran “Doc” Guidry used the fiddle when he was 12 years of age. He was self-taught and within a year or two the teenager gained a spot within an outfit referred to as the Joe Fabacher Music group. He afterwards spent a year or two as an associate from the Rayne-Bo Ramblers, a music group that was led by Content Fats. Guidry as well as the Ramblers often took on nearly ten gigs weekly. In old age he set up his own clothing, which he known as Doc as well as the Sons from the Cajuns. His “Chère Cherie” continues to be one of is own best-loved recorded tunes.
