Founded in 2014 by Queensrÿche vocalist Geoff Tate, Operation: Mindcrime focus on melodic, narrative-driven progressive steel. Acquiring their name from Queensrÿche’s landmark 1988 idea album from the same name, the music group formed as the consequence of Tate’s acrimonious divide from his previous group in 2012. After a tense two-year period that noticed Tate and Queensrÿche each touring beneath the moniker, funds was reached that noticed Tate shedding the rights towards the name, but getting awarded exclusive functionality rights to Procedure: Mindcrime and Procedure: Mindcrime II. The recently minted music group, which includes a spinning cast of music artists with Tate on the helm, inked a cope with Frontiers soon after forming. THE MAIN ELEMENT, the group’s debut studio room long-player as well as the initial installment in a well planned trilogy, premiered in 2015, with Resurrection falling the following season.
