Irish rock outfit 1 DAY International shaped in 2007. Rather than going the most common path of dues-paying over the Dublin live circuit, 1 DAY International made a decision to concentrate its development within a studio room atmosphere, focusing on their debut full-length nearly immediately after development. Word got from the studio room eventually, as well as the group undertook its initial nationwide tour with Broken Public Scene a short while later. The music group had already received some early press, as vocalist and songwriter Matt Lunson acquired a track documented with the Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon for an Oxfam charity record. To preview what could possibly be expected in the band’s following tour — prepared as they covered up recordings for the record — 1 DAY International released a self-titled EP in 2007 — not forgetting playing CMJ in NY. 2008 would discover the International from tour to get the aforementioned record, called Blackbird, that was set for discharge in past due 2008.
