Omega

Omega, also called Omega el Fuerte or Omega y Su Mambo Violento, is usually a Dominican merengue vocalist with an metropolitan style knowledgeable by hardcore rap and reggaeton. Given birth to Antonio Peter de la Rosa in Bonao, Dominican Republic, the merengue urbano vocalist was raised in the Pantoja community of Santo Domingo. He produced his full-length recording debut with Omega y Su Mambo Violento in 2006 within the label Allegro Music. The recording spawned his break-out strike, “Alante Alante.” In 2008 he released Un Fuerte, a nine-song mini recording on Allegro that spawned another strike single, “Si Zero Me Amas.” Omega’s following full-length recording release was Un Creditedño del Flow (2009) within the Allegro subsidiary label World Records. Offering the strike singles “Merengue Electrónico” and “Tu Si Quieres, Tu No Quieres,” the recording was re-released with reward material a few years later on as El Creditedño del Circulation, Vol. 2 (2011).
