Perhaps one of the most successful Latin songsmiths ever, Omar Alfanno is merely now achieving the top of his reputation. Although he documented several amazing albums, including Cosas De Barrio…Callejon Con Esquina, Cuerpos Al Calor, Joe De Barrio, and En Torno Al Amor, Alfanno has many ideal marks being a songwriter. He received a Latin Billboard music award for Songwriter of the entire year and an Un Premio/ASCAP award for Author of the entire year in 2001. His music received Un Premio/ASCAP honours in both salsa and merengue groups. His tune “A Puro Dolor” was called Super Track of the entire year, while “Child by Child” was called Top Pop/Balada track. Since attaining his first strike with Willie Colón’s documenting of his melody “Un Gran Varon” in 1988, Alfanno offers composed one strike after another for such Latin performers as Tony Vega, Luis Enrique, Melina Leon, and Jerry Rivera. His music played a significant role in the first achievement of Gilberto Santa Rosa and Marc Anthony. Authorized by Sony in March 2001, Alfanno lately built a fresh studio and released a production organization, Dreams Manufacturing plant, in his used house of Miami.
