Old Rope String Band

More than merely a folk group, Newcastle, England’s Aged Rope String Band represent an entire entertainment package; humor, mime and theater associated traditional music of British and European removal. Joe Scurfield (b. Joseph Scurfield, Britain, d. 8 June 2005, Newcastle, Britain; vocals, fiddle, electric guitar) previously unicycled to shows along with his ceilidh music group, producing his living from kids’s celebrations as ‘Joey The Clown’. His previous groupings included the Peanuts Music group (full name – We Don’t Wish The Peanuts, WE WISH THE COMPLETE Plantation), the Tyneside People’s Choir as well as the Flop- eared Mules. While getting involved in The Crimson Umbrella alliance which backed the united kingdom coal miners’ hit of 1984, he fulfilled fellow college student and banjo participant Pete Challoner. As well as guitarist Ian Carr, the Aged Rope String Music group was created.
