Old Canes

Whenever a European record shop asked Appleseed Cast to provide an acoustic in-store performance, frontman Christopher Crisci wrote some fresh songs for the occasion. Such materials formed the foundation of Aged Canes, a lo-fi task spearheaded by Crisci and performed with a loose band of support music artists. The band’s debut record, MORNING HOURS Hymns, made an appearance in 2004, and Crisci released two albums with Appleseed Ensemble (2006’s Peregrine and 2009’s Sagarmatha) before placing the finishing details on Aged Canes’ second discharge, Feral Harmonic.
