Oklahoma Scramble

Olympia, WA-based like rock and roll duo Oklahoma Scramble shaped in 1986, teaming singer/business lead guitarist Jenny Seymore — a distinctive performer whose vocal lines corresponded precisely with her acoustic guitar prospects — and tempo guitarist Argon Metal. After completing a small number of songs, Okay Scram approved an present from Seymore’s neighbor, K Information founder and Defeat Occurring frontman Calvin Johnson, to seem on the 1988 compilation cassette dubbed Birdclash. Featured alongside the Proceed Group and Spook & the Zombies, Oklahoma Scramble added the five tunes (“Town,” “City,” “Boy,” “Lady,” and “Mine”) that collectively displayed their complete documented result. (“Boy” also shows up around the 1992 YoYo label comp Toss.) The duo performed its first display at Olympia’s Smithfield Café, starting for Beat Occurring; after just one single even more live appearance, Okay Scram dissolved in 1987 when Metal departed for a protracted visit to Brazil.
