The eclectic Chicago-based trio Oh My God has garnered music comparisons to such classic cutting-edge art-rockers as Devo, Pere Ubu, Suicide, and Frank Zappa, but their lyrics bear greater than a passing resemblance towards the witty prose of Steely Dan. Made up of people Expenses O’Neill (vocals, bass), Zach Nold (drums), and a gentleman who goes on the singular name of Iguana (body organ), the group was hatched during 1998, soon after Iguana noticed O’Neill performing in the renowned Chicago golf club the Two times Door. Iguana really was the only person in the group to possess previous experience inside a music group, as he used renowned blues harmonica participant Junior Wells through the middle- to past due ’90s. Showing up on Wells’ last recording, the 1997 Grammy-nominated Junior Wells: Live at Friend Guy’s Legends, as well as the 2002 Wells launch THE VERY BEST of Junior Wells: Live All over the world, Iguana got either documented or toured alongside Carey Bell, Koko Taylor, Otis Hurry, Van Morrison, Friend Man, and Jeff Healey, amongst others. The trio released their debut launch, The Action Recording!, for the Novo label in Feb of 2002. But upon its launch, Nold exited the music group, changed by another member heading with a one-word name, Bish.
