Octa Clark

Vocalist/accordionist Octa Clark (b. 1904) and fiddler Hector Duhon (b. 1915) started playing together in the past due 1920s. Duhon documented for some time within the Dixie Ramblers, and following the group disbanded, continued to be active playing community dances with Clark. Both had been older persons by enough time they produced their debut record being a duo for Arhoolie in 1981, with Michael Doucet playing electric guitar and composing the liner records. Playing normal waltzes and dance music from the Cajun area, they also documented an record for Rounder. Clark passed away in 1998.
