Óbó

Initially referred to as a supporting musician for Sigur Rós and Jónsi, Óbó may be the solo project from multi-instrumentalist Ólafur Björn Ólafsson. Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, Ólafsson was a prominent body within his homeland, most widely known being a percussionist and key pad player. Ólafsson researched piano and structure in various Western european cities aswell as writing materials with famous brands Emiliana Torrini, múm, Sigur Rós, and Jóhann Jóhannsson. Despite his function for other performers, it wasn’t until 2014 that he released his very own materials, the melancholic and ethereal Innhverfi. In the same season, Ólafsson came out on the main Icelandic music celebration Iceland Airwaves.
