This UK hard rock quintet was formed in 1973 by Dave Lloyd (vocals) and Mick Devonport (guitar). With the help of Keith Mulholland (bass), Kenny Newton (keyboards) and John Mylett (drums), they obtained a status as the ubiquitous support action. Playing skilled, blues-based rock and roll and boogie, their exuberant and high-energy concert events constantly overshadowed the drab and lifeless studio room recordings. Their sexist recording covers were normal from the genre, though not as likely was Lloyd’s contribution of the vocal to a Crunchie chocolates bar advertising campaign. Newton left to become listed on Nightwing in 1978 as the music group transformed their name to Trend inside a deliberate try to jump on the brand new Wave Of English ROCK bandwagon.
